Courage. Strength. Loyalty. Adherence
That’s what it takes to keep up the guts to actually fly high in life, so high that the world is literally running by you in seconds. A story sold in just one rupee, a title so momentous for the flying Sikh himself, Milkha Singh!
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, directed by Rakeysh Mehra, starring Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor, is not just a title to feature the story of a man who strove hard as an athlete, having gone through some toughest of times with courageous human spirit. The title itself was the last words of Milkha Singh’s father, which was to save his life during the riots of Partition of India. The trailer is so intensifying and challenging, that it actually made me read the entire biography of the former athlete Milka Singh.
The film is based on the life of an Indian athlete and an inspiration for all the needy athletes in India. Basically, this movie is not only going to be signified as the true inspirational movie of the year, but also the most perfectly composed combination of competition and dream, it’s difficult to combine them together as they don’t really go side by side in reality and on screen.
The background score was as usual turbulent, but only with pride and energy. So much of endurance in a movie surely adds the ‘it’ factor that stays for a very long time. Shankar- Ehsaan-Loy composed for the film, lyrics penned by Prasoon Joshi, is animated as it is.
It’s understandable that I would advice everyone to go and watch this movie in the theatre. Some movies are meant to be appreciated with great awe; the story is not simple and regular to watch. It’s sublime!
