Mumbai Walks

I was taken back at the thought of never coming to this place, but now I do have ideas that come to my mind for some really whacked out shoots to relate Mumbai to.

Catch a train from CST to Panvel, after Dockyard Station you will witness what seems to be this city’s construction hub.It was a silent Sunday, not too many people around, I had been there for a shoot of my own; a very casual way to explore the city, I didn’t want to distant myself from home so I thought of going along the Harbour line. As soon as I pass Reay road, I come across this area. It felt like the formation of something so modern and exposed, with the railway line of my left and factories and warehouses on my right. It wasn’t crowded but people seemed to be completely attentive to what they were doing. Most of the people around were workers and they seemed to not be bothered by the excessively distracting noise of the construction work of the bridges.

Over all it was a very silent place where most the warehouses were shut and the people seemed to look to bored to even to gaze around the place… I was taken back at the thought of never coming to this place, but now I do have ideas that come to my mind for some really whacked out shoots to relate Mumbai to.

It is really important to have such an atmosphere in a city like Mumbai, it defines the dedicative spirit that we Mumbaikar’s share with each other to make this city ‘modern-full’!
